Welcome to the Bristol County Judo web site

Welcome to the Bristol City County Web page.

As the new County Chairman, I firstly wish to thank Tom Briers for the support and development of Bristol County during his office as County Chairman.

As a County we have successfully run our first ‘Bristol County Closed Championship’ for several years. This event produced many County Champions and promoted the Spirit  of Judo within the County. With the help and support of the Committee and volunteers we will continue to develop this event and are looking to hold a Bristol Open Championships in the future.

Over the coming year, I am looking forward to working with the clubs and judoka within the County to promote and develop our judoka at all levels and continue to enhance  the County’s positive feelings of unity. I am excited to be part of such an enthusiastic County and look forward to it going from strength to strength.

About Us

Bristol County Judo is an association working with British Judo Association clubs within the Bristol Area.

We are constituted and are run by a committee which meet on a regular basis.  All committee members come from clubs within the Bristol area.

County training sessions are ran monthly around the area for junior, youth and senior players who are members of Bristol clubs.

As a county we are trying to move Bristol forward in order to benefit our players, clubs, officials and volunteers.

All clubs within Bristol are trying very hard to work together in order to achieve this.

Alex is the 2015 County Coach

I would like to say Thank You to Luke for all of your hard work last year also to everyone who has supported me so far.

This year is starting out to be a great year for Bristol County Judo and I hope that we can all come together to make it a year the players can be proud of.

I look forwards to seeing you all at training sessions, events and competitions.

-Alex Bright

I have compiled the first half of the years training dates, see the Team Bristol page for details.
