Bristol City Council Olympic Live Site.

Calling all Bristol based British Judo Association Clubs.

The opportunity is available to promote your club and the Olympic Sport of Judo by supporting delivery of taster sessions at the Bristol Live Site in Millennium Square.

A number of taster sessions throughout the day are being delivered on Thursday 2nd and Friday 10th of August between 10.00am – 7.00pm, generally promoting Judo to the wider public. This is a not to be missed event with thousands of members of the public in attendance who could be potential new members for your Club.

For further information and to register your interest in attending this event please contact Steve Hammond Regional Development Officer for Judo South West or Steve Chappell from Tora Judo Kai who will be the Lead Coach for this event over the two days.

Samurai Mini-Mon Teams

Posted by Paul Taylor on April 27, 2011 at 5:15 AM Comments comments (0)

On 10th April 2011 we entered 8 teams into the above competition.  This is the first team competition othe rthan the Western Area teams that we have entered as a county.

It was a great atmosphere and gave our younger, less experienced players the chance to bond with each other and the county coach like our older, more experienced players have over the last few years.

All players fought extremely well and we won a total of 6 bronze medals and 1 gold, with 1 team narrowly missing out on bronze to end up 5th.

The atmosphere was electrifying and all feed back has been positive and good.

If anyone else has any further comments or suggestions, please let me know.

Teams & results:

Bristol Tigers:  Louis, Ozzy, Riley - BRONZE

Bristol Lions:  Louis, Owen, Connor - 5TH

Bristol Panthers:  Ozzy, Finley, Cameron - BRONZE

Bristol Buffalos: Connor, Matthew, Ben - BRONZE

Bristol Bisons: Charlie, Tom, Chris - BRONZE

Bristol Leopards: Chloe, Josie, Amy - BRONZE

Bristol Hawkes: Kirsty, Amy, Molly - BRONZE

Bristol Eagles: Lauen, Rowan, Chloe - GOLD
